yes i been only this week listening to his album "time out"

however he will be immortlised by his "take 5" a gem of a tune that trascends jazz lovers and is one of the most recognisable jazz standards to the general non jazz listeners next to summertime and fever ,

I just got some interesting e-mail about the re-release of some "lost classics" by one Bill Fay. You know, one of these guys who was pretty much ignored during his own time - like Nick Drake, I suppose, though even more obscure and still alive.

Anyhoo... Mr Fay has (after a loooooooong break with the music business in which he went and had a proper job and a proper career) has, at the age of 69, gone back into the studio, recorded a new album (with some of the guys from Wilco) that is reported to be very good indeed and has already signed over all his revenues from said album to Medicins Sans Frontieres.
