I thought I'd share the pictures (horrible cellphone pictures) I took of the "checkup" phase of my guitar building.
I was asked to come in and see if there's anything more that needs to be done to the body before they continue with the build etc.
Short Specs:
Mahogany body, 7 string Neck thru with 24 fret ebony fretboard.
EMG 707s
Kahler 7300 hybrid Bridge (tremolo and fixed)
Full shot: The main shape was designed by
Brian Fanner team member Ben Badenhorst. But the main edits, contours and details (which still need to be done) was decided around my standing/seated position/playing style.
Back Shot: You can see the pencil lines parallel to the edge of the heel and horns for smoothening out because it was conflicting (very little) with the upper fret access.
Headstock: Logo still needs to be decided upon lol
Bridge: You can see the circle I drew for the volume knob and dot for the switch. Both efficiently out of the way of my picking hand, yet close enough to limit hand movement when adjusting.
All the wiring, volume pot, Neutrik locking jack input (recessed) and 18v case cavities are still needed to be sorted. A few scalloped frets, custom "top-neck markers" added and then the transparent-black finish is applied ?
I'll hopefully have it (and more pictures) by next week if anyone is keen to see them.
