So i've been reading rockstar autobiographies for a while now, its a holiday ritual for me and i'm wondering which biographies you guys have read and rate the best? and which not yet written music autobiography would you like to read one day?
My List in order of best to worst:
The Dirt - Motley Crue
Long hard road out of hell - Marilyn Manson
Heroine Diaries - Nikki Sixx, motley crue
I am Ozzy - Ozzy Osbourne
Got The Life - Fieldy, Korn
Tattoos & Tequila - Vince Neil, Motley Crue
Tommyland - Tommy Lee, Motley Crue
Im really excited to read Corey Taylor from slipknots new book if i manage to find it somewhere.

I'm reading the Ozzy book now which is wonderful. It reads like a verbatim transcription of his always hilarious anecdotes.
The Keith Richards book is the best that I've read by far.
The worst was a Buddy Holly book that must have been written by a record collector. Almost every detail of every production release and every tour date was in there but, even though he got to interview people who'd have real insights, he tells you almost nothing at all about the man. I think there were about two insightful stories in the whole book.

I'm sure not everybody's cup of tea, but I am busy with Bit of a Blur by Alex James, the Blur bassist - really intelligent guy with a keen interest in science, astronomy and... cheese. Really enjoying it

Just finished I am Ozzy, thought it was brilliant! Before that was It's So Easy by Duff McKagan which was also really good.
Reading Neil Youngs book now, Waging Heavy Peace, but so far its a waffle, hoping it picks up.

Clapton, an autobiograhy by Eric Clapton. Very accurate, very honest, quite frightening. Can't believe he rebuilt his life.
