Gearhead Hi, not trying to teach anyone anything now ? Does any of you out there have something interesting to say about Wilkinson pickups, notably the WVC? I am having a serious look at buying a set second hand that comes out of a V100.
AlanRatcliffe I haven't tried the Wilky pickups myself, but everything I have heard says they are decent entry level pickups, along the lines of Mighty Mite, Artec, etc.
IceCreamMan Excellent bang for buck. MAde in Korea i think. Happy with the humbuckers i have an will keep them for a while yet.
Floydoid I know its probably too late for this by now, but be careful of Wilkinson pickups. I bought a set of Wilkinson single coils as well as a vintage Strat bridge through eBay for next to nothing and the pickups were really junk. Sounded lifeless and dull. No sparkle! You'd be much better off buying a set of Toneriders locally. The bridge was excellent though.
