About 2 weeks ago my girlfriend dragged me to the shops on Saturday morning, needless to say I was not in a very good mood (I loath shopping), until she pulled up outside the local music store. I looked at her slightly stunned and slightly sheepishly (as I had just berated her for wasting my precious Saturday morning with boring shopping) and she said the following words which made my heart skip a beat: "I'm going to buy you that guitar you've been gassing for, for the past 6 months". Well, I could hardly believe my ears. I didn't know if I should cry or pass out. So we went into the store and I could barely string a coherent sentence together to ask the assistant if they had the guitar in question. Unfortunately it was out of stock, but they placed an order, and this past Friday it arrived.
The guitar in question is a Cort L450C all-hog 00 acoustic. Part of their LUCE range of acoustics. It is an absolute gem. The raw punchy tone, perfect action, and feel of this guitar have made this my new favourite guitar. Not to mention its very pretty on the eyes. I was a little disappointed as the website says it has a solid top AND back, but as far as I can see the back is not a solid piece of wood. But nevertheless, its still a joy to play and I see many hours being spent over the few months getting to know her very well.
