Hi Guys I just got my fender blues deluxe reissue today from a guy in cape town. The reverb however does not work at all. What are some of the things I can do to test it? If I need to take it in where would a GOOD place be? Its awesome getting my dream amp....Just wish it would work 100%. Thanks guys

Dunno which number you are using , but this is Andy Barnes' latest cell number : 0820724173 8)

Good to know it was only a wrong number! Thanks Joel ?

I take it you've dealt with him (Andy Barnes) before?!
Where is he based?

I know Andy well...he owns and plays three Tokais. ?

Very qualified when it comes to amp repairs and guitar tech work...he's a great guy.

He didn't have to do any tech work to his guitars, just tune and play them. ?

Actually, he bought his Tokai Les Paul from Andy McGibbon in 1997, when Andy bought a few at a NAMM show and sold them in SA.
A few months after that Andy McGibbon became the PRS distributor in SA, and the rest is history.

Thanks guys! Good to know ?

Dumb question, but do the new Fender amps use a tube as a reverb driver in the signal path with an impedence matching transformer? Or is it a crappy op amp. In either case a down and dirty test would be to touch the + on the RCA plug and see if a humm is generated, at least this might sectionalize the trouble. On a bench a signal generator is ideal.

Just an update. I picked up my blues deluxe from andy this afternoon and he did an amazing job with it. He also completely under charged me. Props to andy!!
