USB Squier Strat....

funnt enough i predicted this sojmewhere on this forum ... its a natural evolution really...

I've got AmpKit on my iPad ... brilliant except I have to connect via the headphone jack. (iRig type thing)
Would love a way to connect to the docking port.

At some stage Hi-Fi Corp sold guitars with USB ports. (can't now remember if it was Beheringer or Torque or whatever :-\) The main drawback was that the quality of the guitar was really crap, and I wouldn't have bet on the electronics being any better. The build quality of most Squiers I have played have been far better than the Hi-Fi corp dross. So this looks promising. Do the regular Squier upgrades like pups and pots and it could be a nice addition to the collection. It won't replace anybody's main gear, but as a practice tool I would certainly love something like that.

I like this idea. good for jamming ideas and easy to set up.

I wonder what the quality of the behringers actually was. I must keep an eye out or one to play around with.

Is it just two plugs and a wire that need to be wired up? (according to the secret recipe)
Or are they some other electronics that need to be sorted out?

If someone can do the electrical homework, I'm sure we could try it out ...

I'd love to plug my strat into my iPad ... :bopping:

It's a prototype. Fender is curious how people will like this squier. But the less electronics guitars have, the better. It's my opinion ?
