Got an sms last night from a different source (a friend that used to work for Sony/BMG - ACDC's record label, saying that it was being announced but I can not find anything on the net about it. Has anybody seen or read any press releases. Maybe I'm not patient enough, but seriously, the best band ever, live in JHB? My life will be complete.

Seen them a few times...
full stage show was excellent,smaller shows ok...
whether they log their whole stage set this side of the world is another question...
But no excuses for anyone in RSA not to see them with whatever they present to youse..
Its a band you gotta see once in your life...
I'll pass this time round thanks,as im not too fond on huge stadium gigs anymore.

soccer city cheapest will be around 500 i reckon , most expensive around 2k , if the Dome then the cheapest prolly around 700 i would think .....

i had tickets to ACDC in wellington , NZ ...mid priced seats were 900 ront .......going to be a lil mroe nowadays i reckon.

but who knows really ...nice to have the discussiosn and one can always hope

I hate to ask, but are they still AC/DC? I mean I'd hate to see them on stage walking around with limps and occasionally going back-stage to get a couple of hits from an oxygen mask. I'm a major fan and I'd hate to see them as just a shadow of their former selves, ya know?

Either way, this is going to make me plow through all my AC/DC albums again.

I'm no fan, but I've seen older guys than the Young brothers on stage and giving it full welly. The danger for a band with a strong visual gimmick is that the gimmick may get ridiculous, but age itself should not be a problem here.

Watch the RiverPlate show from the last tour. They still sound great and put on a great show. Aside from Angus and Brian, the rest of the band were never really too busy on stage to start with.

The rumours I've heard speculated that Metallica is coming on the 26th of April to Soccer city. 5fm is making the announcement today @ 16h00.

Guess we'll just have to wait a few more hours to know for sure. Either way, I'll be there! :woohoo:

? Agreed. I saw Metallica at Coke Fest and have 0 desire to hear any material from the last 2 train smashes they released. It would be cool for those who missed them the first time round though ?
