Norman86 wrote hey chebanda!

The wiring is done modern style, volume, tone (neck), tone (middle and bridge).. and the switch is neck on in bridge and bridge/middle positions.

my current strat is wired like that, bar for the neck on switch, and i like the way it sounds ?

+1

Marvin's strat was wired like that I hear.

i have her in my grubby paws... holy crap..
she sounds fantastic! single coil hum? nope.. not with the shielding done to the pickguard and cavity!

im SO stoked! Thanks Costa (Costafonix) for the awesome setup on her!
yes, it took a while, but perfection takes time!
Thanks for going out of your way to make this my perfect axe ?

Norman86

some in progress..

shaping the nut..

shielding the pickguard, and the neat wiring job!

shielded cavity

rocking out on the Mesa Boogie 5:50 Express

now that i have her, i know i have a few people to go visit...
Aubs, Deefstes, Joel, Wayne... not sure who im missing!

But the clean tone.. holy crap... its really really awesome!
i cant do my own guitar justice, yet.. but the tone brought tears to my eyes!
Its that good!
and sustain.. wow.. especially on OD.. but even clean, it just keeps on ringing.

All i can say once again is thank you! my patience paid off!
5 months later, but SO worth it! 8)

That's beautiful Norman86. Congratulations on a labour of love and big respect to Neon Ghekko and Costafonix for their great work.

This has been a great weekend for many forum members!

Congrats Norman!! That is beautiful!!

I'm not typically a fan of conventional strats

But Norm.. that looks sublime.. really stunning, Congrats

Sound clips are a must :?

singemonkey

Congrats Norm! Like I mentioned, flame strats aren't my thing, but that's very tastefully done. You made good choices on hardware and looks and it's a really top-notch looking guitar.

Max

Wow, that looks amazing Norman. Congratulations and please post some sound clips so we can all drool over the tone as well.

rikus

Congrats Norman! That looks amazing! You've got to give us some glamour shots now that she's done!!

Norman86

@ Chabenda...

Thanks man! Im extremely happy with the way the paint turned out.. Its not every day where what you imagined turns into reality!
It was most definitely a great weekend for many yes, but for me, after the culmination of 5 months work, it was an especially fantastic weekend for me ?

@ Aubs...

Thanks Aubs.. now i just need to make a plan to get out to you ? i will message you!

@ guidothepimmp...

Thanks man! funnily enough, im not really into flame strats.. but you know, when i saw that body, i just couldnt help myself! out went the 50's 2 tone burst idea, and in came the cherry burst..
and i wanted to be slightly different, hence the white on cream, and not cream on white! and looking at how it came together, im really glad i went the way i did!

@ singemonkey...

Thanks Singe. As mentioned above, i love it when a plan comes together! And it really did come out the way i envisaged! so im super stoked!

@ Max...

Thanks Max! Sound clips might take a while.. i dont have the best recording setup unfortunately.. but i will try! im not the best player either.. so i might have to leave the playing to someone else too! :-[

@ Rikus...

Im already on it.. but my photography skills arent even equal to my guitar playingn skillls! but i will try get more photos up!
Im actually thinking to start a ngd topic, just with the glamour shots! ?

vic

Congrats again Norman.....super looking instrument !

Norman86

Thanks Vic! She sounds as good as she looks ?

chris77

Ja congrats Norm, well worth the wait! :goodtimes:

I wasn't convinced that the cream pickguard would be the best choice for her, but it actually looks like it blends very well with the body. More pics is needed for sure though! ?

Norman86

Thanks Chris!
Pics will be forthcoming.. in the next week or so..

Like i say, i'll start a ngd thread for it instead! ?

I think its looking pretty damn fine at the moment ?

Great looking guitar, I'm sure it sounds awesome too. 8)

I am curious, however, about that Fender tag lying in the case? ?

Norman86

Thanks Shreddy!

haha, it came with the Fender HSC (hard shell case) ?
So not trying to pass it off as a Fender.. i just keep the sticker in the case.. but im gonna have to take it out..

Norman86

studmissile
