Thanks for the love guys ?
Mika, I've never been one to keep secrets, I've even explained the mods and given illustrated examples in another thread so if you know someone who is handy with an iron they can do it for you, or I can, your choice.
The mods completely open the pedal up and your description is spot on, it's a clean, smooth overdrive. The best description is I say before mods it sounds like a pedal into an amp, after it's an extension of the amp.
I've tried several drives and keep coming back to it. I sold mine to Joe, but it was okay because I bought a Visual Sound Route 66 from AndyD and did the same mods, so now I have a comp and drive in one pedal, taking up less space on my pedal board. But stock, even though several mods have already been done to the VS pedal, it still had that pedal into an amp thing, the biggest change you can do is replacing those terrible 1uF tantalum or electrolytic caps with quality polyesters.
Cheers
Matt

I was a fool to trade it/ sell it. That thing had the smoothest overdrive. I have never found another pedal to compare to it. Maybe if I get some money together I will get hold of Matta and see what could be done.
I think pretty much every overdrive I have had since has been an attempt to get that sound.
Rikus you are a lucky man dont let that pedal go!!!
