3G Router help requested

Hailing all techies... has anyone had any success with a 3G router (preferably one I can plug a Huawei K3770 Voda modem into)?
We do not have/need Telkom at home and until they unbundle voice line rental from ADSL I'd like to stick to 3G... but we'd also like wireless net for multiple devices.
Any suggestions?

Edit: our androids do have tethering capability but I have a couple of other 3G contracts I'd like to use...

I had a linksys 3G router at home a few years back, it was really good. I could connect all my laptops, computers, phones to it no problem, the speeds were not great, but it was a while back, but it definately did the job.

Linksys make good routers 8), I think some of them can even be used for ADSL so if you changed to an adsl connection, you dont need a new router.

I know a guy who sells Huawei routers, apparently getting some pretty good speeds with them. He sells to the usual vodcom stores etc.

I use a Netgaer N300 router, with a Huawei 3g dongle, works like a charm.

Do you do any gaming? How does it hold up with that? Are you using Vodacom?

I'm on 8-ta. I haven't been gaming in a while, so I can't really vouch for that. But for general around the house connectivity it's great. Just before you do this, check if your modem is compatible with your router. I got a new super fast modem thats incompatible and I had to find an older slower one to make this work.

Got a TP-Link MR3220 3G/4G Wireless Lite N Router confirmed compatible with Vodacom k3770 dongle (not tested yet). Ordered from http://www.dbg.co.za/ yesterday, arrived this morning. Will test this evening....

Checked it out... works like the bomb. About as plug and play as you can get with a router. V. happy.

I just use the router to send wifi to other devices. It's like a wifi switch basically. dongle connects to internet, everything else connects to router via wi-fi.
