A big congratz to Adrian and Deefstes for this month's challenge! :goodtimes:
What's the next challenge topic...?
Appreciate the 'pep-talk' Adrian :yup: - I already started editing the track, listening to the feedback from y'all. Agree with you, we enter to better our skills (song writing, recording, playing) and I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere the GFSA challenges promotes.

I don't think the rules are very specific about this but then again, I wouldn't want to see us becoming obsessed with rules. I'd rather see more people participate and bend the rules somewhat than only a hand full who adhere very rigidly to the rules.
+1. I did re-read the rules for guidance on using samples - since I tried to use it creatively (e.g. not as a backing track) and referenced the work I used, I reckoned I wouldn't be burnt at the stake. My 0.002c on using external assistance : We learn from the input/collaboration of others & producing a track IS a skill of bringing players & parts together and an (imho) important skill of a musician - so I agree with Deef's opinion that the goal would be to develop the skills in the long run, there's nothing wrong with some assistance? Personally, I'd reference the collaboration, but that would be a tendency from writing essays/papers during varsity days.
