Banjo neck adjustment

I picked up a banjo from a friend who's never really used it and I decided to have a go on it. I was restringing it and once I got the strings on, I noticed that they were touching the frets at the bridge end of the fretboard:

Can this be adjusted with the truss rod? It seems like a lot to correct with the truss rod so I'm reluctant to give it a go without some advice. How does one do this on a banjo? Is the truss rod adjusted at the headstock end, or at the nut in the body (there are three, the long one in the middle and one up against eack side of the body)

Truss rod for neck relief - adjusted at the top of the neck. Same as a guitar - righty/tighty, lefty loosey.

Action via the coordinating rod (inside the pot, adjusted with a spanner), which tilts the neck in relation to the body.

Thanks Alan. This sounds like what I need to do - the neck is tilted (rather than curved) quite a bit. Would the long middle nut be the one to adjust?

Got it sorted following the instructions on the site. I had to shim it as well as use the coodinating rod and now it's pretty much where I want it.
