Crazy Hail Storm in Edenvale / Bedfordview Area on Saturday

My wife's car might be a write off. Didn't lose any house windows (only ones on our street that didn't) but my mate lost 8!

Hopefully insurance will cover it though! We had pics sent to us from family on the east rand on saturday, some pretty scary looking ice blocks those.

On the westrand we just really had rain, but we where on standby, just in case.

Me too!! Windows at home broken, my sisters car windscreen smashed, mirror smashed off, hubcap broken and this is one of so many, I cant believe how big those hail stones were, worst I've ever seen, I have no living memory of anything getting hail damaged that badly in my time in Edenvale. I blame global warming of course ?

I remember hail about this size in Germiston when I was a kid, maybe around 15 years ago or more.

Sounds like Edenvale is running out of glass to fix windows!

Was insane - had just got my little man to sleep as well - inconsiderate hail... No idea how our windows survived, sounded like people were chucking rocks against them. The in-laws had 16 house windows smashed as well as a car windscreen, we just got a few bumpy car roofs. That vid is funny and scary at the same time ??? A neighbours dog was killed...

I own a townhouse close to you shreddy, 9 windows taken out by hail....went to have a look...eish!!!!

i was in the area ..just missed it thank goodness but saw the evdience all over that area of the vale

I took my lil son into Sebenza (simba street) as there is a comapny there that refurbisehs these huge mining trucks which i wanted to show him.....(he got a kick out of that )

the hail lying on the ground on terrace road was startling ......... thank goodness i missed it ..my car woulda been toast.
