Hello
I have searched long and hard. You can't get them in S.A. as far as i know. I ordered a whole lot fro www.effectsconnection.com or
http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/
If you find some in S.A. let me know...

I want to get in jhb area gearhead.
If i wanted to use stew mac i could've
bought a new pedal.
Im looking for parts locally at the mo and
yebo electronics has them.
Another thing im thinking of is that i have a broken boss pedal...Cant
i use the switch in there if mine doesn't arrive in time?
Heath

No you can't use the switch from your Boss pedal easily - Boss use FET based switching and either SPDT or DPDT switches, might even be momentary as well. The typical switch used in DIY and "boutique" pedals is a 3PDT latching foot switch. That will allow you to wire for true bypass and with an indicator LED. Alternatively you can use a DPDT switch and either forgo the LED or use a "Millennium Bypass" circuit to drive the LED.
To the best of my knowledge you can't buy 3PDT foot switches in SA. You can get DPDT's from Yebo but my experience with them has been bad - they seem to have an 80-100% failure rate over time.
Tailon - where did you find 3PDTs at Mantech and Yebo you mentioned, I could only find 3PDT relays at Mantech and toggles at Yebo?

it was rather easy i walked into the store , ask them for an industrial type footswitch , for a guitar pedal i am building , they showed me a metal latching 3pdt swithc similar to what they use in most pedals , and i bought them ....

Do you know the name of the store?
Heath
mantech sells them and www.fort777.co.za has them to

Sorry for sounding so skeptical here, but i tried both of those and more and didn't come right. Are you sure they aren't dpdt (2pdt) i know mantech have those. Do they have six points or nine on the bottom of the switch?
When i was at mantech i checked their catalog and they didn't have 3pdt...
It''ll be great if they do have.
Heath
mantech do have i have bought there recently
