I tend to like what the British genre that I call "cops with issues". So Waking The Dead is OK, but the grand daddy of that genre is Inspector Morse. I hope we get re-runs soon.
I enjoyed Downton Abbey (though some of the characters changed rather a lot, and I thought Sir Richard got a bad rap) and the series 2012 that was shown in the run up to the Olympics was hilarious.
QI (if that qualifies here) is funny (sometimes very, very funny). Non-fiction wise I like How The Earth Was Made.

We also embraced this series, some good episodes but hectically dark and disturbing in some.
Whitechapel was another dark series but interesting characters

I must say, my wife and myself never really watched many series at all, until we got PVR that is, now I know what I have been missing. The best for us at the moment are suits and revenge!

Was heavily addicted to Criminal minds, but ran through the entire 5 series (in the video store) now. So I am having to settle for Bones, Mentalist, CSi NY (Watched Miami up to the 8th series) and Fringe...
Two and a half men is awesome, haven't seen one without Charlie though...

Love em, watch em every evening, i have loads of stuff in my archive but watching the new ones as they released, Showtimes series are aired on sundays so we get em on monday morning, but here's some of the rad ones i like that are airing now.

I have season 5, or the first half of it, its the best one thus far, they broke it into 2 parts like they did with The Walking Dead S2, it goes to ep8, so now we must wait for the rest, but the second part is gonna be hectic......

Suits is the series I'm enjoying most at the moment (actually its the best series for me since the early days of Lost and Prison Break)
Revenge is really good too, borderline soapie but good.
Justified is also good, and Continuum too
