Mine would be a , Burgundy Mist Fender Jazzmaster with a aged white pickgaurd ,
rosewood neck with matching headstock and two Seymour Duncan Hot for Jazzmaster Pickup's .

1. An on-board motorized tuning system that automatically tunes the axe to any tuning you might desire and that monitors said tuning every 100 milliseconds thereafter.
2. A refrigirated mini-bar cunningly concealed somewhere inside the body.
3. A pepperspray dispenser built into the head to deal with annoying fans. This system will have a "back at ya" feature that will automatically activate, aiming at the user's face when the intro for Bad Moon Rising is played.

Probably a good idea to go for a Mastery bridge in your specs if you want it to stay vaguely in tune. All the top Jazzmaster artists use 'em (Nels Cline, Sonic Youth etc.). Without it (or at least a Mustang or TOM bridge) a JM is pretty frustrating experience live.

They didn't have a 335 body shape, but this would be the LP variant, but I would have th strings go over a stoptail and then through the body.

Mine would need to have a unique shape (interesting that everyone so far seems to go for existing bodies). Probably something like an offset waist Tele body.

Something like that body shape but without the overly exaggerated top bout, and with an actual offset waist.

Or like that, but with squarer corners - not so rounded and LP-ish.

Black scratchplate. As for the finish: maybe natural, maybe seafoam green.

Bareknuckle Abraxas bridge, Trilogy neck.

Arcade button killswitch, situated more or less halfway between the pickups, near the tone/volume controls.

One master volume, one master no-load tone. Three-way toggle for pickup selection and a coil split toggle for the Abraxas.

Hardtail with Graph Tech saddles. Graph Tech nut. Schaller locking tuners. Schaller strap locks.

...yeah I think that's about it.

I would go for a single pickup baritone Cabronita (tele with Gretsch pickup in neck position) with esquire wiring (bypass/normal vol and tone/fixed 'dark' tone). Seen as there aren't any cheap baritones out there at the moment, I'd like Squier to churn them out in the Chinese factory.

i'm already in the process of taking a guitar i love the neck and feel of and modding it to my personal needs for my style of jazz .......and taste

so far it's been modded with

1.seymour duncan pearly gates ...with split coil option in neck ...
2. contact pickup under the scratchplate
3. graphtec saddles
4. locking tuners
5. controls setup like a les paul with volume on tone on each pickup
6. spruce , wooded scratchplate of own design

still to come some chambering of the body and change of colour

but in the future i may ditch the 6 string for my solo jazz playing in favour for one of these 10 string guitar/bass hybrid........... ?
