My son had an accident, his fault, wrote off his Opel Corsa and did some serious damage to the other vehicle as well.
No problem, right?, I'm insured, wrong, Dial Direct Insurance rejected the insurance claim because "apparently" the front tyres of my sons car were 'smooth', therefore the vehicle wasn't road worthy (as per the small print in the contract), so they rejected the claim.
So, goodbye to the Opel Corsa, I have to swell it as scrap.
It gets worse.
The two guys in the other vehicle weren't insured, because it was my sons fault they're now demanding I pay to repair their vehicle.
They got a few quotes, the cheapest quote, 50K. ?
Anyway, my brother in law, my lawyer, disputed the rejected claim with Dial Direct, however Dial Direct rejected the claim again...so now we're taking them to court.
But, that doesn't help me, who knows how long that will take.
So, I need to hook up with a panelbeater that can come up with a "normal" quote, not one of these
INFLATED quotes that panelbeaters give to insurance companies.
Even better, a panelbeater who's a guitarist and needs some guitars, I'll pay in guitars.
