Great advice on the Pacifica. Cant say I agree about the MIM's though. I took mine apart and decided that's the way it should stay. Very sad. As for Laney Cub, I have a 10 and the thing aint so lekker so maybe I should try for a 12 then. I dont know if they still available but Fender Super Champ XD is lovely. A bit more $ and a lot more amplifier. Yissis! I see this business with the Korean Cort factory is still on the go. Arent some of the other brands just contracted out to be built at Cort factories anyway? I suppose it's the thought that counts ne?
Maybe. You do what you can.
It's actually the experience of the Super Champ XD that first wised me to the 10" problem. It sounds fantastic in rehearsal or at home, but it gets lost at a show.
But yeah, a budget valve amp will only really show its charms when you swap the loudspeaker generally.
What was the issue with the MIM? I could feel the difference in the necks of the MIA Teles, and the 2 Tokai Teles I've played. But the MIMs still seemed very decent - especially for what they go for 2nd hand.
