Hey Guys,

Thought I'd stop by and say 'Hi'! I've not been active for the better part of a year or more, so many things going on in my life.

My wife and I had our second child a month ago, a little girl, so we have the pigeon pair.

I closed my studio down two years ago to become a stay at home dad and have been raising the kids and taking care of the family, everything from cooking to growing our own food, which you can read about at www.plantingthoughts.com

Though I closed the studio I still freelance on the odd project and recently completed an EP for a local singer-songwriter and last month spent a week engineering a project for Tony Cedras, Paul Simon's keyboard player who was out from NYC.

Ashton Audio is always stop start, though of late with wife being on maternity leave I've been able to do more, just completed two custom pedals for a client, about to service some old tube gear and then build a few studio bits for a JHB based studio.

I'm not playing or performing much, it's rather sad, but a different season I guess, though I'm now consolidating things and trying to get a pedal board going, getting the pedals guitars out of their flight cases/boxes and up onto the walls, winning half the battle.

Anyways, just wanted to say 'Hi', show my face and see what's up.

Thanks for the compliments and well wishes guys!

I've still been checking in from time to time, but to be honest my hands have been pretty full with the kids, family life and freelance work. I'm ging to try make more of an effort to offer up thoughts and comments over in the effects and amp section where I can.

Congrats Matt! I enjoy my kids. Although they grow so incredibly fast... not as easy to troubleshoot as a pedal as well
