Nobody is suggesting it's a bad guitar. I'm certain it's an awesome guitar, we are only trying to establish what model/ series it is...
Here is a "Classic Player 60's Strat" : See:

.... and like Lance/Tokai says, and I agree, it is not the "Classic Player" model/series. Also the USA retail price (Sweetwater) suggests that you paid about the correct amount for it ...... it does look brand New!!!
If I'm wrong, 10K apologies.
Yeah I know Aubs1. I love the guitar nonetheless ?.. I think it is a Standard though. False advertising on Gumtree.. Cliché. I am an amateur though so didn't really have good info. Would love to find out for sure what model it is.
It's a very cool guitar, makes no difference if it's a Classic Series or not...it's a "Standard" Series.
I've played many a MIM Standard that was as good as a USA Standard.
In fact, you might not have liked the Classic Series, the Standard is a far easier guitar to play.
The Classic Series has a 7,25" neck radius, and thin vintage frets...not easy to play.
I know a lot of guys who have had the radius "flattened" of their Classic Series guitars, and re fretted with thicker frets.
Your Standard has a flatter radius and thicker frets already, no need to mod it.
Have it setup and enjoy it, it's a cool guitar.
