2x12 cab or 1x12 Cab. Buy new, Used or just get a custom build. Help

Hi Guys

I'm faced with a small problem. :-\ :-[

I have a Marshall 1987x RI Head, a Genz Benz El Diablo 100 head with the Gflex 2x12 cabinet.

Problem statement:
The Marshall 1987x RI does not fit on the Gflex 2x12 cab. I would also like to have one cab per head instead of canstantly pluggling back and forth between the two Heads. The smaller the better, If there's a 1 x 12 CAB loaded with a Vintage 30 in South Africa that will fit the Marshall 1987x RI head it would be ideal!

Possible solutions:
1.To buy a new 2x12 OR 1x12 CAB loaded with Vintage 30's for the Marshall 1987x RI head ( Still on the lookout for a cost effective cab loaded with vintage 30's )

2. Get a professional to build me a 1x12 cab that will fit my Marshall 1987x RI Head. ( The cost of building should not Exceed the cost purshasing a new Cab )

3. Buy a second hand 2x12 and replace the speakers with Vintage 30's ( Again , The cost of changing the speakers and buying the cab should not exceed the cost of buying a new cab)

4. I have have a dodgy BEHRINGER 4x12 cab in storage. Remove all four speakers from it and load it with two Vintage 30's and wait until I find a decent second hand cab to migrate them to. ( Im not very keen on this option as I would not want to have something bulky thats hard to move around. I also have very limited space in house as i am restricted to the Study room only ( aka Man Cave ).

Considerations
1. Cost Effective
2. Portability and Space efficiency
3. I want to use this rig for Blues and Rock. ( Tonality )

Any opinions and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

That might be worth looking at. I have got one of those 1x12's with the 15 watt head and have been very impressed by both.
I see Ibanez now makes a 2x12 of the same cab.

Not vintage 30's, but still a nice celestion speaker in there as stock.

Whatever you run into, do. The 4x12 option is a nono if you only load it with two 12s since it will leak through the vacant holes in front which kills all your bass. That will sound like a cab with no balls indeed.
I reckon the custom build is going to be cheaper than buying, check around with the okes on this forum...

Hi Guys . After some consideration , I am quite interested in the Orange 1 x 12 Closed back cab : http://www.orangeamps.com/ppc112/.

Does anyone have any experience with these cabs ?

I am just concerned that the one 12" vintage 30 speaker will sound "thin" I will be using it with the Marshall 1987x RI head attenuated.

I want to try out this 1 x 12 and a 2 x 12 to compare the sound, next weekend.

Anyone with pushing 50Watt valve amps through a 1 x 12 at the moment ? does the 1 x 12 suffice ?
