It is a Epiphone ET-276, Japan made. Build between 1975 and 1978. I think the coronets, etc were earlier American models...

Sounds lovely though, was pleasantly surprised with its sound! The best part is its weight... light as a feather.

I'd imagine it must sound a lot like an SG - thin mahogany (?) body, set neck, with two hums?

The info I got from http://www.everythingsg.com/index.php/et-276.html states that the body is maple... with mahogany finish.

Oh, and the neck is bolted. (On the link above there is a picture of the back of the guitar)

I've never heard a Gibson SG in person :-[ , but I can imagine that was the sound they were going for with this one. (thin body, dual humbuckers).

Sounds really good, even though I have only played it through my solid state ibanez amp.
