Thanx y'all. The Fender-P was sold to a lucky GFSA member who will surely post pics and comments soon enough.

The Tele is a cream Squier Affinity (Chaiwanese unfortunately - can't afford a USA model ☹ )
and the Vox is also a fake copy and not a real AC30 but they're toys and not "tools of the trade",
so I'll just be having fun with them and not using them to pay the rent. 8)

I took back the Vox 40w amp with the single 10" speaker and brought home the 70W Vox Valvetronix with two 12" speakers instead. A better option I'd say ?

A couple of weeks into my new Vox and I'm coming to terms with it... plenty more than I need.
I drive it half volume at the most with the gain, effects and guitar volume reduced.
It also has way more effects than I require... I avoid all the screaming fuzzy noise functions and opt for a bit of chorus/reverb or some reverb/delay.
After all I'm playing rhythm. Mike on Les Paul can crank up all the effects he desires... he's playing lead. 8)

After all this time I was still never quite happy with the Vox... It had all the settings to choose from, emulating all the old famous Vox amps,
plus enough effects to satisfy every need, yet I still could not find what I wanted.
So I swopped it for a Fender and immediately the clean rhythm sound is fatter which works for me.
The lead channel is too dirty for my liking but I've turned the drive down to 1 and it's keeping me happy so far.

I'll try this for a while :-\

Nice Amp. They do sound nice on clean.

The amp has a clean section and a drive section.
When you're in the drive section you can select drive p- indicated by a yellow light (which is still pleasant)

and more drive - indicated by a red light (which is too messy for my liking)

I have a pedal which switches between two. It's an old Crate pedal with places for two jack plugs but the amp only has one, and it works OK... kind of.

The problem is that when the pedal switches for clean to lead channels, it bypasses the 'drive' section (yellow light) and goes straight to the 'more drive' section (red light)
I brought home another pedal form the local guitar shop... Hi-Watt with two stereo jack plugs, and it does nought.

I'm wondering if there izzent an easy quick fix solution to this problem, like clipping a wire so that the foot switch brings only the drive section and not the more drive section...
Problem is I dunno what um doing... if it was a bomb I'd likely clip the blue wire and blow myself up :-[

Should be do-able. Try find the schematic for the proper footswitch and we should be able to figure out how to modify the Crate to work. I'd guess that it uses a TRS cable and switches either tip or ring to sleeve and a third setting with either both or neither to sleeve.
