The guy who won the Comrads and then got bust for doping had to return his prize money and was stiped of his title. In the above example the organiser would pay back himself? Conflict of interest?
No, that's not what I'm saying.....your inference is not correct.....
What I'm saying is....in any competition where people are
judged there will always be those that feel they've been done in in some way or the other. That's a reality of life if you like. Judging is subjective in most cases....especially in music. You find this even at animal shows where the
owners feel done in by judges. And yes...they may moan and complain...it's there right, but it's not gonna undo anything unfortunately.

clearly there was something fishy with the process which determined the outcome of that competition )....I am talking in general.
However entering for a talent- or band competition could be OK if you wish to get exposure....so enter such in that spirit if you must, but also be prepared to handle the disappointment if you get a bad hand from the judges.
