I haven't gotten to post one of these in a while. ? Thanks to J-man for suggesting http://www.gearclearance.co.za/ to me on here in the first place. So, while saving up for another piece of gear I came across the site. They had a few Vintage guitars for sale - some of which I haven't heard of - but the one that caught my eye the most was the V6 Icon. The relic'd finish was probably part of the reason (as some of you might know I'd been wanting something lightly relic'd for a while now), so after a few days of thinking about it I thought: "Well, I might as well take a little bit out of the gear fund as it can't do any harm..."

The shortest review: I'm impressed. It has the twangy sound you'd expect from a Strat (something which I haven't found in any Strat copy I've played) and overall it's really solid. I like the feel of the neck a lot too as it feels really smooth and isn't overly thick. It has a bit of hum through the amp (but not excessively).

Excuse the lack of pics for now, had some trouble uploading the rest.

Having said all that, the Vintage V100 Icon seems like a really good option to look into as well. I always thought: "A relic'd LP? Blasphemy!" Turns out it does, in fact, look cool.

Should be interesting to see when I get to take her to her first gig...

I can't see the pic at all now ???

But anyway, enjoy it. Sounds like a cool guitar you've got yourself?

For some reason it's showing up fine for me. ???

I think it might just be my connection. Will look again later.
          Good Stuff Alex

I played on one of these at The Music Shop in Melville, well made and sounds good. I also had a go on the LP.
