I have bought and sold quite a few electric guitars over the years since I joined GFSA and now have what I consider a few guitars that really meet my needs and I enjoy. I have a Tom Anderson Bulldog incoming at end of September and something special in a year's time but that is another story altogether. After owning big brand Custom Shop guitars (admittedly no Masterbuilts) I went a slightly different route.
So all of the electrics could be considered "pretty" or good looking if you like, with one possible exception. What I find quite significant to me is that the mildly Relic'ed, 62/63 spec K-Line gets the least comments from anyone who sees the guitars, is the “ugliest” to some and yet it is the one I always pick up, my go-to guitar now and I am fairly convinced I could probably sell the rest with no regrets but there is no way I will sell this one. Yes it is the one of the "newest" or more recent of the bunch but everything about it just seems to fit, especially the tone. I wanted the slightly warmer tone that I had heard from a well-played Fender 62 Strat that I occasionally used to play (very seldom now) and Chris Kroenlein of K-Line strongly suggested the Klein Epic 62's and is not keen on noiseless at all. Some say that the neck of the guitar is what creates the initial lasting impression to some players and I can see why. I have a brand new, beautiful 10-top PRS P22 that is wonderful but I have played twice in the few months I have owned it I still just pick up the K-Line.
I guess my tastes in electrics have also changed a little as a result. Chris (K-Line)said that he finds that some players tend to be less careful about a slightly rellic’ed guitar and so play it a little harder and express themselves a little more which leads them to think the particular guitar has more “Mojo” than others. So this guitar has not only won me over but possibly changed my view on what will influence my decision and view on any guitar in the future. Whatever the case, I think I have found the one!
Am I alone or have others had similar experiences?
Oops forgot to add the obligatory pic or two: ?

Oh this thread is worthless without pics ? *edit* pics were added.
great looking strat!
I guess my tastes have changed as well. I recently sold my strat and tele. Just never liked the scale on these models. My tastes have also shifted from solid bodies, more to semi-hollows. I think I could be happy just with a 335 or something along those lines. I think my guitar family may shrink even more over the coming months.

Dunno man. I like that white strat the most.

Lovely guitars, although to me the K-Line is the prettiest of the bunch.

I do like that PRS a lot ?

I think for me it has become a lot more about what "feels" right to me. Almost like the K-Line is the most representative of me and who I am etc at present as well (or is this a little too philosophical) and therefore resonates with me as well. Of course this means it gets played more which means I get used to it more, and so play it more, which means etc. etc. Each one is really special (I wrote in another thread how the guys at TOMS Sandton were blown away by the Logan & Kirn) and the K-Line is excellent value and not the most expenisive nor the lowest priced but there's something about it. :?

Strat for sure

I also think that white Strat's the best looking. Th PRS and Kirn are a bit flash IMO. The white one (and the Tele to some degree) just look like they're there to be played. Worn Strat's are just plain cool as far as I'm concerned. I'd also be likely to play one like that the most; obviously tone and feel play a big part but I would struggle to look at a guitar like that and not want to play it all the time.

Another vote for the K-Line here, that is beautiful!

The strat is giving me that "take me home and I'll love you forever look". Maybe you can guess why ?

A few more of the Strat then:
I will take a few more pics soon as these were all taken in bright sunlight.

The pickups are Lindy Fralin Split Blade "Blues" - Great noiseless pickups although for some the unconventional looks put them off. I enjoy the looks.

i'm not a big tele guy, but it's purdy. i had (and sold) a honey-blonde highway1 strat, looked very similar to yours - except with a maple 1-pc neck. lovely guitar, just not my thing. my prs custom 22 is also similar to yours, just with a green finish, and half-moon inlays - yours is a bit much on first glance (the finish almost made me not buy mine), but it grows on you the longer you look at it, i think - pretty too.
as i said, not big into strats, but that kim strat are the biz - that'd be my #1 of the lot...
