This was built with wood scraps from my ramp as well as old paint, varnish, steel and screws.
I've got two daughters and this is a good way to get them out in the garden. I've got to fit the glass into the windows this weekend and then my girls and wife can decorate it.
- Roof has been built with off cuts of 18mm plywood and covered with 300 6mm shingles cut from the old surface from my ramp and coated with some old roof paint. The steel edging and poles up front have also been painted with the same steel paint.
- Walls have been built with the old 18mm surface of the ramp
- Windows were made from old 18mm mirante (yes the same stuff that I put through my hand) Router was a great tool here.
- Glass I had from an old project 8 years ago and never threw away
- Steel was from my old ramp frame.
- Screws and nails were all from my old ramp and I probably have 3000 still left. Hinges handles and door knobs and levers are all old units from the house.
- The door was made from some old oregon pine flooring that cmae out of our bedroom a while back and just waxed down.......looks gorgeous.
Just have to put in the stairs, seal up the sides with some old window putty and whitewash the inside.
