music stores in PTA

Hi All,

Im looking to buy a new guitar, possibly a Jackson Soloist.

The only music shop in my area that i know sells jackson guitars is Jean Village music, but id like to have a look at some other shops as well.

If anyone knows about any good shops in the Pretoria or Centurion area, that sells some nice metal guitars(Jackson, ESP, Schecter, even Ibanez) please let me know, it would be most appreciated.

Hey man, i know of two others. One is Music Mate in the Boardwalk Lakeside
Cnr Hans Stydom & Haymeadow str. in Faerie Glen.

And the other is Musica instruments in the Attebury Value Mart.

Not too sure about their selection though.

There's also a Music Mate in Zambezi Drive, across the parking lot from News Cafe.

And Lovemore Music in Southdowns keeps a few ESP's and Ibanez's... 8)

Try Jean Village Music. They are a pretty helpful bunch and have a good variety of guitars. If they don't have it, they have access to a bunch of Paul Bothner branches countrywide which probably will have what you need.

I had my Telecaster sent up from Paul Bothner in CapeTown and picked it up at Jean Village.

I would like to differ. Most overpriced shop ever and helpful hopefully excludes the fact that a "salesperson" tried to convince me that you don't get valve amps in sa for under R6500 (which was a Vox AC15, not the handwired ones, the ones with the Wharfdale speaker). Oh, and apparantly Behringer is Ibanez sold under a different name.

Must agree with WantzChas, some nice folk @ Jean but, generally, I don't go there much for the same reasons he's listed. I actually prefer to travel to Marshall in Woodmead for my stuff. And let it be known, I don't get any special treatment or discount (yet), I just prefer it!

Oh and to clarify what I mean by that, soon GFSA members will be getting discounts everywhere ?
