Hi all,recently got an old red Ibanez CP9 Compressorpedal [the 9 series one].Here,s the problem: plugged in and switched off,the guitarsignal is clearly heard.The moment i step on the pedal,switching it on ,there,s a massive drop in volume from the amp. I dunno what the experts suggest,i,m close to Mosselbay for any one that does pedalmods,etc.. Thanks.. ps: have checked my guitar,amp,connecting cables are all still functional so i think it might be the pedal?

Have you checked the battery or socket (if you are running on a PSU)? Also rotate the knobs a few times (particularly the level). I would also usually just visually check the circuit for dry joints or cracks, but anything more than that I 'd send to a pro.
