have you got hardware n so on sorted?

if not, you can get pots, pickguards, a bridge, knobs, jack, switch and control plate at TerryD http://terryd.co.za/gtrparts.html, i dont know what quality their pickups and tuners are tho, so cant vouch for those. rest of the parts are top notch tho (and affordable, even with postage)

Something like this, but with an F-Hole? I do prefer the mother of toilet seat pickguard over the tts with the blue finish.

Hmm, I think I might agree with Alan on the pickguard. I do think I prefer the body without the black burst and I also prefer the maple fretboard. Like in so:

But I'd be interested to see a blue Tele with a tortoise shell pickguard first though. Can't really make up my mind until I've seen it.

OK, I wanted to see what a blue f-hole Tele with gold hardware, maple neck and tortoise shell pickguard would look like so here's one I came up with.

It's not the greatest tool (http://www.nymphusa.com/kisekae/8.0/tele8001/base.asp) but it helps somewhat in visualising the permutations.

I'd have to be honest but I still think I prefer the pearloid pickguard. Also, I'm not so sure I feel the gold hardware but that's just me, I've never been particularly fond of gold hardware.

Ja, I prefer the pearloid and chrome look too. To my eyes, the gold, blue and tortoiseshell clash.

Im starting to agree... the gold hardware and the brown are abit of an eye sore.. but we'll see ?
Definitely going for the maple fret board.

Hopefully going tonight to a friends wood working factory so i can get it routed and sanded ect.
