I have been shopping around online for a solid entry-level midi controller, and I finally settled on the M-Audio Oxygen 49.
It seemed that the best price I would be able to get would be around the R2500 mark.
Then I stumbled upon a online store called soundtrader.co.za through 'Alan's general music link list' thread and saw to my amazement that they had one for only R1500!
The prices that I had seen before this ranged from R1995 (Orangemusic.co.za) to R4113 (wantitall.co.za ??? honestly don't know how these guys have stayed in business!!)
I e-mailed the sales department at Sound Trader at around 11pm on Monday night to check availability. I received a reply first thing the next morning confirming that they have stock. I placed my order on their website and received confirmation from the sales rep that my order was being processed.
On Wednesday (yesterday) I received another e-mail from them saying that my midi controller would be delivered to me today (Thursday).
Lo-and-behold, my Oxygen 49 was waiting for me on my desk at work when I got back to it at around 12 o clock this afternoon.
I am so impressed with the level of customer support and efficiency at Sound Trader. I cannot believe that my order was processed so quickly. Although their website may not be the prettiest, and they don't have the widest range of stock compared to other local online stores, it is almost guaranteed that if they have what you are looking for, it will be at the lowest price possible.
10/10 on all scores for this website and I strongly recommend that anybody looking to purchase new gear online (this was my first online purchase of gear) have a browse on their site.

Yip, I wanted to buy something there and was a bit worried becasue the price was so low. I just see that there isnt too much stock, if what they display on the site is an indication.
