1974 Rickenbacker Model 4001 clean-up and setup

Sorry about me in the pic! :-[
Received this Rickenbacker Model 4001 bass into the shop. She was purchased new in 1974 in SA, played extensively until the mid 80's, then packed away, unplayed, until now.

Will start on her maybe midweek, . . . hopefully, but Watch This Space

Interesting job ahead . A bit of de-rusting, cleaning, polishing, fretwork, electronics, setup (has 2 truss rods, stereo output) etc . . .. :?

Beaut!! I love knockin' about on the bass, often written riffs on the bass then moved them to guitar. If I ever thought to purchase myself a 4 string it would be a RIC, for sure. P.S. You could be Lemmy's brother like!

Well, serial no. OA 153 shows manufacture date as January 1975.

I'll maybe take 3,000 USD . . . ??? ? (wow, these vintage RIC's carry super value on eBay!)

So the client must be confused with his date of purchase ('74) ?
