I'm gonna have a look at a 50's Gibson on Saturday.....if I do take it, I will post pics of the (whole) guitar. Meanwhile here are two pics to get you guessing... ?

with that headstock it looks like an old L50 or something in that range ....... grrrrrrrrrr i still rue not buying that L50 ronnie had ...

however if you don't take the gibson mail me what it is and i may be interested ?

OK guys...here she is...an ES-125 from 1957. The guitar is in brilliant condition for its age with superb action and intonation all the way up the neck.....laminated maple top to curb feedback.....beautifully figured maple back....mahogany sides...Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and - adjustable bridge... BTW: Braz RW was still legit in the 50's... ?
The neck is typically 50's mahogany (Honduran ?) and the fingerboard and frets have that polished and silky feel to it.....the P90 is sweet with that typically powerful archtop sound. Body size is 16.75 inches like the ES-175. Everything is original except for the Kluson machine heads which were replaced with later open-back tuners.
The original hangtag is also there...! Note the Union Castle sticker on the (original Gibson) case... ?

I'm absolutely green with jelousy ? what a beauty , and wow a 57 incredible condition , that is something i would love to own , can you just imagine how special it would be getting to your jazz gig opening your guitar case and whipping out a 57 es125 , the mojo in that guitar must resonate back to the player , awesome buy

I am really chuffed with this guitar...it's really amazing. (it needs new strings though)
