Yes it is gorgeous and it is like a lesson - very clean! Some of the recordings on Youtube are good but for some reason sound quality is bad etc. There are slower versions which I'll probly play with once I've read it thro.
I'm self-taught at reading and could play some small pieces up to the fourth position. When I realised that I'd have to learn to re-read everything further up the neck I gave up.
Until I encountered the chance to learn something I've always wanted to! So combining ear and stave I'm about quarter way playing, halfway reading. I read a bit ahead and then with the repetition to get to where I know it must be, it starts to go smoother.
This is the type of stuff that makes reading worth it ? I know this book is out of print but it looks like he's got a more complete version out there with the cd etc.
