Pete Townshends head for sale
Big-G
Think I'll give this one a miss, but I nearly bought Pete Towshends Midas Soundtracs mixing console a good few years back... the one they used on 'Pinball Wizard'.
Lovely console! Used it on many mixe's, but the studio were looking to 'modernise' so being the 'cheif engineer' there, I was offered the desk for cheap! Unfortunatly, I didn't have the space to fit the 40 channel (plus 24 sends) desk which measured approx 3m or so across!!
Just another tale of 'the one that got away' I guess?
EDIT = Just to clarify, I did not 'mix' Pinball Wizard, I was barely out of nappies back then, but the studio I used to work at in Liverpool had this desk donated to them by Pete T himself when they opened up.
Cheers
G!
