Craigamps pedals are amazing

My covers band The CopyCats have had a residency gig, entertaining
tourists in central London, for over 15 years.

I have used Laney's, Marshall's, Lab Series, Boogies and other amps,
with Zoom pedals, Boss and many others.

Without exception, the sound I have now is the best I have ever had
and it's certainly due to two Craigamps handbuilt OD pedals I use.

With my Gibson ES335 into the clean channel on my Marshall TSL 122, I add a
Craig Vintage G for my crunch rhythm and a Craig Toenail Clipper as my lead pedal.

The 335 is amazingly in love with my Toenail Clipper. The controllable feedback
they generate together leaves me in awe. Seriously !! My old 1962 Strat has great
feedback with compression added, it was my main guitar for a couple of decades,
but this 335 and the ToeNail Clipper together have a delivery that makes me
sit up and explore.

I am totally fired up as a gigging guitarist right now.

I have the Vintage R and I'm loving it.

I'm thinking of getting the Toe Nail Clipper next.

Have to agree with the assessment on the Craigamp pedals. I got the SickFuzz (mostly since I like the idea of supporting local) without knowing what it sounds like, and it has not moved from my pedal board since. Actually started to get rid of some of the other fuzzes I had...

For the first couple of gigs I was using the ToeNail Clipper
as my rhythm crunch and the Vintage Green for lead.

Just out of curiosity at one gig, I swapped them over, TNC for lead
and the VG for rhythm.......totally brilliant decision.

The VG is warm and has depth, the TNC is more lively and direct.

The TNC has one strange quality or call it a quirk maybe.....
It seems to latch onto sustained notes and effortlessly just start
feedback. I LOVE this quirk. Playing a Gibson 335 might also part generate
the melodic feedback phenomenon.

This is an original tune demo we recorded recently and I am
pretty sure I was using the ToeNail Clipper. You can hear the
sustained notes and chords want to go feedback. I do a good job of
controlling it so it isn't obvious, but I am sure keen ears will hear
what I am talking about.

PS...this is an improvised jam....so don't take it too seriously,
and I ain't no great vocalist. ha haaaa..Eric
