Here's a tip for great bluesharp tone... although it may shorten the life of your harp.
Soak for a few hrs in a glass of pure gin/vodka or if you are rich, whiskey. Play. Not only does it sweeten your notes, it also tastes great.
(not sure if I would recommend drinking the gin afterwards)
