guys I'm needing some delay help!!!

Trying to decide on a delay to get. A friend of mine is coming back from the states soon and I wana get the best for my money (the little I have ? ).

At first I was really keen on a tc electronic flashback (or the PGS alter ego version) but then i thought for a bit more moneys I could get a nova delay and have presets. And then I discovered the very new vox delay lab on the back of the guitarist magazine which looks too epic for words but there are no reviews yet it seems and the demos are quite poor.

please any help would be fantastic.

my budget is R2000ish at the moment (which is super tight for a decent delay pedal)

thanx Steve! such a great looking pedal and so well priced. mmm i think if i'm pushed for time i'll go for it too and maybe at a later stage run two delays since i wouldn't really need more than two settings at a time. One for ambiance post rock kinda sound and one for good digital repeats.

Only im also considering the vanilla flashback...

The Vox delaylab looks to be too awesome for words, especially at the price..
the only negatives i have about the delaylab are:
My playing capability is not deserving of the vox delaylab, and that the delaylab is a huge, really monster pedal.

So now im trying to decide between the flashback and the alter ego instead.
the alter ego though, is sold out again, so no telling if and when it will be available again...

If he is in the states and at a residential address I would recommend a T.c electronics unit off of amazon.com (they are running crazy t.c specials there)

The nova delay would be my first choice:

Although it is a complicated beast, I reckon for most people the flash back is more that sufficient in a delay.

The flash back doesn't seem to be at such an amazing price though...so maybe it would be cheaper to pick one up at a store locally?

I have in the past (4 times, I think) bought pedals from steve at www.stevesmusiccenter.com and would recommend buying through steve to anyone interested.
Importing pedals from the states is not as difficult as I expected it to be, nor as expensive.

MR T should know a bit about the delay lab. He demo'd one at Marshall's pedal party. Might be best to PM him due to affiliations and forum rules and whatnot - not sure though.

i went for the Flashback...
the alter ego was out of stock and they'll only be getting more in october!

and the delaylab... couldnt get a decent price on one, but also, as i said before, its a huge pedal...
Still think its worth it though if you need all that delay power!

Hey guys sorry been so busy haven't checked the forum in ages! Although I was really digging those pedals a local guy contacted me and sold me his spotless DL4 for only R1700 so I'm super stoked and I got presets!! ? ? Gona do all the mods when i get some more cash.

Thanx for all your comments!! I really hope I don't regret not spending the extra cash for the vox!

? haha if he did I'd be super suprised was just some randon guitar kid. But I think he spoke too fast on a price. And so they learn
He did have a pretty cool looking loop pedal though that can record like hours on to sd card. Think it was a digitech. I don't know anything bout loopers I don't even use the dl4's loop function
