I got the M9 ..my rational being that i do not need all the extra stuff.
i got to say these multi fx units are awesome ...line 6 done good work with these ...simple an intuitive to work through ....problem is the myriad of choices ....one never stops
I deliberated for a week over the M9 or the M13 - the M9 would have been ideal, but I know that I would have always wondered what the M13 would have been like...
Like you said, tons of effects - many that I wouldn't normally use, or have bought if I was buying separate stompboxes - but now that I have them I will experiment. You're going to have to let me know some of your settings!
Oh, one more thing - do you connect the M9 to a PC for firmware update etc? If so, what do you use, just midi to usb?
ahh missed those questions , sorry.
my settings, sorry i am still mucking about with it , searched the net did not find much so decided to go solo..... so no settigns as yet but i like the bouquet of sounds this offers...the flangers and delays i reckon are particularly good...the overdrives less so but having said that i am still experimenting (we recently parted ways with the vocalist in teh band so trying to teach a new one some tricks before i learn my own tricks with the pedal board) ..i hope to get some nice OD tones out of it too.
one thing with this board, it either all goes thru the fx loop or it all goes thru the front ..this can be a lil drawback and i suspct its why my od tones are not as good as they could be, have yet to put it in front of the amp and play around.
Yip, connect , download...new firmware... ?
good luck with it on he weekend
