djembe or bongo drums in the Cape ?

Hi all,my daughter is at UCT and wants to start out drumming on a djembe or bongo drum .Which musicshops in Cape town stock these,thanks C.

Hi Charles, I bought my djembe from these guys a few years ago:

They are in Paarden Island which is pretty close to UCT.

Check "Gumtree" as well. There are people advertising these on occasion.

I just heard of someone making them in the City - someone I know just bought a full-size (14") traditional one from him for R750. I can try get the details if you are interested.
