I enjoyed the game - good first run out for the lads - biggest disapointment was watching Kagawa stand on the sidelines for 5 minutes waiting for the ball to go out! Great first touch though - almost played a defence splitting pass but Berbatov was just offside. Talking of him, he looked really good - maybe he'll be staying after all? Of the youngsters, Brady impressed me down the right and the young Italian in the middle - his name escapes me - played with confidence.
But watching on TV, the commentary was shocking... "Fabrizio" Macheda scored a good goal, but even when his name came up on screen, the guy kept on calling him by the wrong name.
It was good fun .... more like an exhibition game. Eli enjoyed it though. Yes, I was also a bit disappointed that Kagawa just got 4 minutes play time, but he got a helluva applause when he came on ...... I think he touched the ball twice ..... ☹ Overall not bad, but the atmosphere there was awesome.
@ IceCreamMan, I was very impressed with AmaZulu, especially the second half. There was this (white) kid playing Left forward who was awesome!!!! And they did give United a scare a few times ...... gonna watch them in future.
For some of my FB friends, I posted some pics. And the cherry on top for Eli was when we landed at ORT, and he was allowed to go into the cockpit of the Mango Boeing 737-800 for a sqizz and some pics!! :applause: My boy's mind was blown!!!
