Fair price for Ibanez Blazer?

Hi there

I have a Japanese Ibanez Blazer BL300 that I'm considering selling. I bought it brand new in 1997 but it hasn't seen too much action and is in very good condition. Any idea what's a fair selling price for it?
I've checked eBay and other sites but as far as I can tell, these were originally made in the early 80s and then there was a period when they weren't being produced, after which Ibanez started making them again in 1997. All the info I can find is on the ones made in the 80s :?

i aint any help on what this would sell for but man it sure looks pretty and well made and i am pretty sure whatever you end up selling it for will not be worth it cos the money gotten will not be fair value for this beauty

Edit: actually did a bit of research , there were 2 models made in 1997 the BL850 and the BL1020 not he BL300 which was an 80's model. Bad news is that they unfortunatley not worth a hellova lot ..the top of the line BL1020 can be had for around 400 $ used or around 200 pounds so i reckon here around 3 grand which seems not a lot for such a beauty. Even BL300's from the 80's for for around 300-400 dollars

Nice looking guitar. I can't really help you with a value, but if you have a look at these 2 guitar dating sites I think your guitar was made in 1996.

Looks like you're right, seems like it was made in 1996.

I bought a light blue Ibanez Blazer in '97 from Bothners, new for about R1600 i think?
The bridge and volume/tone knobs look different though.

mine was a 80's model , and sadly it was stolen , i have always wanted to replace it .

Thanks! But I still have the original price tag and it says "BL300" on it. Unless it was a typo by TOMS ???

Dibs on second choice please! Been out bid a couple of times on ebay already for one of these. Im still trying to get the ebay sniping thing down. Wats the serial number? You can check the guitars details online with the serial number.

Sure!
The serial number is F603254. Apparently the F stands for the Fujigen factory in Japan and the 6 means it was manufactured in 1996. 03254 means that it was the 3254th guitar made that year in that factory. Unfortunately the serial numbers and model numbers have no direct correlation.

Well while its a nice fiddle, value wise it won't add to too much unfortuneately as it isn't particularly scarce or collectable.

You will find ebay prices will be between 300 and 500 usd. So call it between 2000 and 5000 za ront (however realistically prob closer to between 2000 and 3500 zar).

Cool guit though. I wouldn't sell it.

At the end of the day its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it..
There are a bunch of blazers and roadstars going about though..
