i finally got rid of that Tokai 155 i been advertising for a while and traded it for this 17 yr old beauty and some hard cash ....
it's a '95 fender USA standard stratocaster , but modded by the previous owner , with locking tuners , graphite saddles, fulcrum tremolo, and the SSS configuration was altered to HSS by putting in a new scratch plate and a Seymour Duncan Pearly gates pup
the amazing thing is that for a 17yr old guitar it's flawless as in so little wear , no chips or belt rash and the frets are still pretty good , i ussually see instruments with more than 10 yrs on them quite worn ...so obviously this did not get out much ........ and the owner has a collection of a few top end guitars so my luck
well it already has had the trem blocked , and i restrung it with flatwound 12's - 52 and it has a fat jazz tone already on the neck and middle pups but the guitar has been routed out already for humbuckers in all 3 positions so i plan to movethe humbucker to the neck position ........... have a fat jazz tone ....... and still have the other 2 stock single coils in middle and bridge so i can still get that cliched yet loved strat quack tone from using the middle an bridge if i need it in the studio ............
so finally one happy camper again .........
