Wow, no other words! My 17th anniversary gift from the missus: Please excuse the cell phone pcs, will put up some decent pics on the weekend after I've gotten over my reticence to pick it up :-[ Comments so far - though I guess players with decent kit wouldn't be surprised - sounds awesome, makes me sound better than I am :-[, neck feel is unbelievable ! Strings need to settle, but after eyeing the tune-o-matic I thought it couldn't be setup. To my pleasant surprise, intonation is absolutely spot on !!!!

Eish, thanks all ! Still overawed ! This thing is unbelievable ! I now understand the difference in quality between Epi v Gibson. Is it worth it ? No idea and I don't care - ask my missus ? !

Anyhoo - some more pics of the ZKW and the herd in general !

The herd and my progression ! Wanted a Gibson one day, but this is just !!!!

Quality-wise that should be everything but an average Gibson LP... (Imho, of course...)

Man that's an awesome MIM strat... ? We might be having a chat one of these days...

Interesting question, How big is the gap between the MIC Epi and your ZW Gibson?

Thanks ! Might not mean much these days, but were both only 38 ! Got married at 21 and it doesn't even feel as if we had work hard to make the marriage work. I don't believe in soul mates or the one, but we work ! I want an SRV Fender for the next anniversary and then a Lucille for the next and then a ............ ?

? To answer - worlds apart. Not really sure how to articulate this !!

I'll be honest I was a little underwhelmed when I first took it out the case. It was lighter than I expected and the balance was slightly different than what I anticipated (whilst I was never sure, there were hints in the last few days as to what the gift would be as our anniversary is 1 July and the gift arrived late)

My misgivings were dispelled very quickly when I actually put it to use. Just on the run, will try articulate the thoughts better down the line and hopefully post some clips !
