Nerves in f#

It feels like a beginner player has strung up his guitar with my nerves and is attempting to tune it by ear!

Can anyone recommend a good getaway place (for two people) not more than 4hrs drive (one way) from JHB?
I would like it if there was something to do at the place despite the cold weather - I am not the sleep-in-hotel-room-and-watch-DSTV kinda guy.

What would three or four days cost? I have never done this before so I have no idea! Hehe ?

I really have no idea where to begin. One of my favourite places in the world was the Royal Natal National Park Hotel in the Drakensburg, but it closed down a few years back. Man I love that place. I could walk around and stare at the amphitheater mountains for days...

I'm booked at Magaliespark first week August, I understand they are quite pricey though (the missus has vacation points) I know there is golf to be played, but I plan to employ the following philosophy while there: Eat till I'm sleepy, then sleep till I'm hungry. Only reason to get dressed being Kierra's open mic night that Tuesday.

Whispering Pines in Magaliesburg is seriously chilled. Probably chilly too at this time of year, but they have nice big fires too. They also offer all the fashionable chakra realigning stuff like volcanic mud and being whacked with hot rocks. They also offer good walks (even hikes, depending on which route you take) and mountain biking.

Aja, we like going to Badplaas, Mpumalanga. 3 hours drive, great weather, horse riding, biking, swimming and lots more...... You have a choice of hotel, chalets or camping........(I am not a camping type of guy, so we normally book a chalet)

I'd recommend Kaapsehoop on the Mpumalanga escarpment. It's a very charming little town with a few hiking trails in the vicinity and a population of wild horses that are often seen around there. It's about 25km outside of Nelspruit.

Bit of an ugly website but it has some info that you can use and, trust me, the town is much more charming than the website.

Aja, i might be late into this, but i just came back from staying at waterfall safari lodge, abour 4km's from Loskop. www.waterfallsafarilodge.co.za
Very very nice there, had to come back early due to catching flu and having terrible fever.
Whats awesome though is that staying at any forever resort, you get free entry into loskop itself!
the prices are reasonable too! even at the restaurants!

the only thing i didnt enjoy was the trip there and back... roadworks between middelburg and loskop is terrible for a few km's, especially driving at night!
oh, and you might not want to use a car with lowered suspension, preferably a bakkie or 4x4 of some sorts!
