Off to the UK

We'll be heading for the UK tomorrow eve. Unfortunately I did not qualify for the Olympics ? so that gives me more time to do other nice things. Calne (an old rural village) will be our base (40 mins from Bath)... planning to visit Andertons (Guildford) , Vintage and Rare Guitars (Bath) and Macaris and Denmark street (London). Macaris have a superb stock of customshop Gibson Les Pauls I hear. :?
Will be taking pics and will post some here on return.

Bath is a lovely city. If you haven't seen it then check out the old Roman baths, the Royal Crescent, the circus and all those lovely Georgian streets. You're not that close to London and Surrey though. Not much good for guitar shops though. Bristol, I hear, is a bit better in that regard, and it'll be much closer than London. You can check out all the Brunell stuff whilst you're there.

I'll be in Bath in September. And London. And the teeming metropolis of Kemsing, Kent where we will see Martin Simpson playing.

I plan to go to London enroute to Gatwick on our return.
It's always a treat to visit "rural" England...the landscape and the old villages are just sooo beautiful as you well know....
Guildford is also a bit out of the way but I will be hitting a few balls there....and I just have to visit Andertons mega store there ?
