Guitar Case rebuild - spares needed

I am rebuilding my old dreadought case that houses my precious vintage Ibanez 12-string. The case was actually bought for the previous guitar so is 2 or 3 years older. With age, the top and back are coming appart from the sides, the lining has worn through and the vinyl has several cuts and tears and is pulling away from the wood in a few places.

So far, I have dismantled the case and stripped all the loose vinyl and the padding. I have some nice velvet material in dark purple to re-line and the foam to pad it with. I also have the vinyl to recover it. Currently, I am busy gluing the top/back to the sides with small wood blocks, wood glue and a glue gun. Next will be the covering with vinyl and then the lining. Finally I will need to re-assemble it. The hinges and clasps are very coroded and bashed from years of use so are going to look bad on my refurbished case so I am looking for replacements. Yesterday I apent hours wondering through several hardware stores trying to find replacements and even visited a music store but have not managed to find some.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re-use the current fittings. Before putting them back on "relic" the newly covered case ? Try and get some stickers saying things like "Woodstock" or "John Mayer Band" or "Plaster Caster approved" and relic those as well.

I built myself a case a while back and also struggled to find hinges and clasps. Eventually I found a Cabinet-maker who told me about a place I could get the kind of thing I was looking for, they had a large variety of all kinds of hinges and clasps and fittings for cabinets, boxes etc. It took a while to find the right stuff because the place stocked mainly furniture stuff but I got what I needed. I would guess there's something like that in your side of the country too if you look around.

Great idea! Now where do I find Woodstock, Beatles, Cream, Rolling Stones, etc. stickers? Could prove more difficult than the hinges ?

Just look on Google images and get some printed.

You can get some latches and stuff at a place called Yebo Electronics in Plumstead. You can also get some stuff at Fairheads, the leather people.
