It would have to be this one, my '72 Strat. My beloved old 'Tele is really hard on my fingers if I have gigs on consecutive days and the Strat is far more versatile.

My first decent guitar was an Ibanez Roadstar. Good memories, never should have gotten rid of that.

Seriously though, I'd probably grab my Tanglewood first (and if I could grab one with each hand it would most likely be the Vintage and Tanglewood).

I recommend! Nice to get new stuff hehe. My insurance company did very nicely replacing old stuff with new a few years back, I couldn't complain.

@guido: ooh. What is that? Also, single volume knob: the way things should be.

@ BMU; Its a custom guit I had commisioned.. the name on the headstock is my name inthe style of a charvel logo..

Basically, its a single piece mahogany base, quilt maple cap, flame maple neck, stainless steel frets, abalone fret markers, Grover locking tuners, hipshot bridge, Bare Knuckle Holydiver in the bridge, SD classic stack in the neck, single volume (push pull pot) which incidently is also the pup selector, down for bridge, up for neck.

This thing rips!

Sounds freakin' awesome. S/s frets sound like such a win. Do need.

I'm probably converting as well. The amount of fret-wear on my one J-Custom in only 2 years is just ridiculous...

Too right. Think of it as: you can only keep one guitar. Pick a reason: house fire, alien invasion, evil ex girlfriend, underpants gnomes, Pete Townshend pops round for a visit...assume insurance is not going to save you (mine doesn't cover plasma blasts).

American Standard Strat, for me. By far my favourite guitar.

Don't take it so hard. ? It's just like if you said, "what's your desert island guitar," and everyone started going on about how they'd take a solar cooker or some ingenious water desalinator instead. The point of this thread is not whether or not you'd charge into a burning building at risk to your life to save some chunk of wood. The point is which of your guitars would be the last you'd let go of - say if you were forced by a court to give them all away except one in an ambitious guitar re-distribution drive ?

Ha ha dudes, loosen up - you all love and respect each other, whether you care or not or whether you know it or not. GFSA is a really great, positive part of all our lives.

I would expect Ibanez players to have a different thread as it would probably be their guitars that caused the house fire with their super fast shredding!!
