We have had the "Go to guitar" thread, but which guitar is the ONE you would save along with the wife/kids/dog/cat/budgie/reptile? It may not be the best guitar you own, but it's the one you wouldn't want to be without.
I will post mine as soon as I get it back from a setup.

Funily enough, my Cort acoustic, I enjoy playing all the electrics and hybrid, but the acoustic is my songwriting guitar, and the one I fiddle with daily...

This one has been with me for a very long time. I may regret leaving the others and finding they're not nearly as replaceable as I'd hope, but this one there's no replacing in my heart:

If the house went up in flames, I'd grab my dog and my computer in that order... Unless I could quickly sprout another arm, the guitars would unfortunately burn... I'd miss them but they're all replaceable one way or another...

It's EZ's hand-built lite IIB 18W 1974X Marshall copy. Best amp I've ever heard in real life.

I'm just not that attached to any of my guitars anymore... :-[ When faced with a house on fire, a guitar wouldn't be on the list for me... If I had the time to save what's really important to me and it was safe to go back for more, I'd be exiting with at least 5... 2 in each hand and one grab-handle in the mouth... If I could choose only one, it would probably be the closest one... I'm probably still missing the point but with 'fire' and 'guitar' in one sentence, my brain is only reading 'FIRE' ?

No kicking of dogs in my household under any circumstances, though. ? More along the lines of pick up and run -when faced with fire!

Seriously, when faced with such a grim decision, I'd keep my dog close -even if it meant watching all the guitars I love go up in flames... (I'd certainly try and take some pics while they burn... Would probably make wicked avatar pics for GF!)

I think there's a separate "Which would you rather save, your loved ones or your guitars" thread needed. This hypothetical assumes you're rushing back into the house to save one, and only one guitar - which may not be, is the point, your go-to guitar. ?

@Aubs - I have heard from more than one source that custom is a special one. Come to think of it, I heard the same of the strat lol

@Singe - you really can't go wrong with a P90 les paul. Has a Neil young "old black" vibe going on

@Chris - I dig that colour, prefer it to the CAR on my strat

BTW I am not cheating, I will take some pics of my plywood cannon as soon as I get it back. It doesn't have a "G" on the headstock and it has a 3 piece neck and a volute ???
